Account Director New Business - UK Office

Overview of the role

We are looking for a results-orientated, New Business Generator who is capable of achieving and sustaining. The successful individual will be fully-competent when cold calling & networking high–level meetings with Senior Executives in Major Corporations using existing and new client contacts. This person will have a proven track record in sales and is used to dealing with budgets in excess of £250k.

The position of Account Director New Business is a senior role within the Agency responsible for business development across all our products and services. This ranges from Survey Software designed to harvest customer opinion, to analysis and results delivered via interactive web portals to our clients together with recommendations to improve Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty from our Insight team. Reporting to a Director you will be working as part of a Senior Management team. The position carries great responsibility for Sales and Revenue goals.

Desired Skills & Experience

We are looking for an outgoing personality combined with an intelligent approach to engage with and expand new client relationships. To succeed you will need a high-degree of numeracy and tenacity and the interpersonal skills to deal with a number of client contacts simultaneously, as well as work with a team of Account Managers and orchestrate Agency resource departments as appropriate. Resilience and self-motivation will be an asset as well as the ability to work to deadlines.

We would like at least 6 years of solid hands-on agency experience and some customer satisfaction background. You must demonstrate strong presentation skills at Senior Management and Board level as well as good commercial awareness and communication skills. It would be an advantage, although not essential, if you were fluent in a European language.

Key accountabilities

  • Understand the current and future challenges facing the client and drive the strategic approach for improvement.
  • Identify, create and evaluate business opportunities within the client.
  • Prepare quotations and deliver relevant pitches and on-going presentations to clients at National and European level.
  • Liaise with Account teams to deliver new initiatives and projects aimed at improving customer loyalty.
  • Contribute to the on-line portals produced for clients to enable them to effectively manage their multi country programmes.
  • Review and input into sales forecasts and monitor client revenues, invoicing and payments.
