Senior Account Director – UK Office

Up to £60k base package + significant bonus potential

Your objective is to help our Clients to become European leaders in customer experience management and thus improve their customer loyalty and profitability.

Overview of the role

The Account Director position is a senior role within the Agency responsible for developing and managing major client projects. There will be immediate responsibility for a pan-European automotive programme designed to harvest customer opinion, analyse and deliver results via interactive web portals. With the support of the internal Insight department, you will provide clients with recommendations to improve the customer experience and loyalty. The business has invested significantly in the digital arena and is moving deeper into on-line solutions. Reporting to a Director you will be working as part of a senior management team and will be involved in new business activities in addition to organic development of existing accounts. You will have strategic, financial and operational control for the accounts assigned to you.

Desired Skills & Experience

This key position needs an outgoing personality and an intelligent approach to manage and expand this account. To succeed you will need a high degree of numeracy and tenacity and the interpersonal skills to deal with a number of client contacts simultaneously as well as work with a team of Account Managers and Account Executives as appropriate. Resilience and self-motivation will be an asset as well as the ability to work to deadlines.

We would like at least 3 to 4 years hands-on agency experience and some automotive background. You must demonstrate strong presentation skills at senior management and board level as well as good project management skills, commercial awareness and communication skills. We will require firm evidence of profitable account development and successful involvement in new business generation. It would be an advantage, although not essential, to have fluency in a European language.

Key accountabilities

  • Understand the current and future challenges facing the client and drive the strategic approach for improvement.
  • Identify, create and evaluate business opportunities within the client
  • Input to new business strategy and fulfil defined tasks in the acquisition and subsequent development of new accounts
  • Prepare quotations and deliver relevant pitches and on-going presentations to clients at National and European level
  • Ensure all client briefs are interpreted and responded to in a timely and full manor
  • Orchestrate the Agency resources to deliver existing and new initiatives and projects aimed at improving customer loyalty.
  • Ensure that all project schedules are jointly agreed and managed.
  • Contribute to the on-line portals produced for clients to enable them to effectively manage their multi-country programmes.
  • Ensure the web portal system is being used effectively by the Dealer channels.
  • Ensure that customer service levels are always above agreed SLA’s at European, Country and Dealer level. Lead the quarterly reviews with the clients.
  • Review and input into sales forecasts and monitor client revenues, invoicing and payments.
